Under the volcano

Farmland (mostly grazing for horses and sheep, although you don't see any just here) under Snaefellsnessjokull volcano, the one mentioned as the place to enter the center of the Earth in Jules Verne's novel Voyage to the center of the Earth...:-)

The top of the volcano likes to hide, this was a lucky evening. It's about 1450 m high and its last eruption was around 200 AD.

I love this kind of simple landscape, less spectacular but infinitely peaceful, somehow hard and so beautiful.
